Hello

When i try to install the new com_opensim i get the following error.

Component Install: SQL error or missing or unreadable SQL file. DB function reports no errors

I use Joomla 1.5.22

I checked the xml file, and there the driver is set to mysql.

Anyone knows what to do?

Are you trying to upgrade an existing com_opensim installation or install a fresh one?

Also: do you have access to the "error_log" from your webserver? Sometimes there's more info in there about what's going wrong.

This is a fresh installation.

Could you please tell me what the requirements are besides Joomla?

Because when i switch to newer versions of mysql or php, install will also fail on the older Com opensim.

I tried Mysql 5.5 now, but then i get a error 1064 on installing the component.
For the new version the error stays the same, i did a full reinstall on everything i use (Wamp 2.1,Joomla).

It seems i always have to fight with both. hahaha.. still. reverting to wamp 2 and com opensim 0.1.8.. everything works fine.

I did a Wamp Install on my laptop today and got the same failure like you. The same zip installs fine on Lamp ... strange ...

It somehow seems that it cannot read the sql file for creating the database tables on Wamp. I'll investigate that closer and will let you know as soon as I found a solution.

There was an issue with recognizing the sql file within Wamp that I could not really identify exact. However I changed the installation routine and uploaded a new version (0.1.9.3) that should now work with Lamp AND Wamp
